New Office in Buenos Aires

CHAUCER ESTABLISH PRESENCE IN LATIN AMERICA WITH NEW OFFICE IN BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA
Chaucer Holdings PLC ("Chaucer" or the "Group"), the diversified Lloyd’s insurance group, is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to access facultative property and related risks in Latin America on behalf of Chaucer Syndicate 1084.
The new office extends the reach of Chaucer’s international operations.
Uwe Fischer will be General Manager of the Latin America operation, and will be joined by Alejandro Ferrin and Guido Wolman, all formally from Glacier Re. Uwe has many years of experience as a respected reinsurance underwriter in Latin America, and together with the team, will build on existing client relationships to develop the portfolio throughout Latin American.
The Latin America office intends to service business from 1 October 2010.
