Chaucer MENA makes key hire to support ambitious growth plans

Chaucer, the specialty international (re)insurance group, has appointed Noufal Manzil as Class Underwriter to join its Property team in Dubai. The appointment reaffirms Chaucer’s commitment to establishing a broad marine and non-marine underwriting team to service the MENA and Indian Sub-Continent regions.

Noufal is a highly experienced underwriter with over 20 years of market experience.  He has excellent cross class experience, and will provide our business partners with a mature and long term view of their portfolios.  In his new role he will be responsible for building Chaucer’s property portfolio across the MENA region.

Noufal joins Chaucer from Talbot, where he was a board member as well being responsible for the management and development of their Property account.  Prior to this, he was with QBE in Dubai and Hannover Re in Bahrain.

Chaucer MENA’s ambitious growth plans are also supported by Rajeev Menon, Regional Treaty Underwriter, who has relocated to Dubai from Chaucer Singapore to lead the growth of their Treaty account.

Fawzi Omari, Senior Executive Officer at Chaucer MENA, said:
“Noufal brings a wealth of property expertise to Chaucer, and we all look forward to working with him. He is a very talented underwriter with an excellent reputation in the market for being innovative and forward thinking. I am sure his unique skill set and experience will be an outstanding addition to our service offering”.

Noufal Manzil, Class Underwriter at Chaucer MENA said:
“I am delighted to be joining Chaucer MENA and look forward to working closely with Fawzi and his team to support the long-term development and growth in the region, which is an integral part of Chaucer’s specialty underwriting offering to brokers and clients.”
