If you have three A Levels, grade A to C, or the BTEC equivalent, our bespoke Apprenticeship Programme offers an excellent start to your career in insurance, giving you the opportunity to work and progress in the City of London and the support for your professional insurance qualification (ACII) or a related qualification to your programme.
Chaucer is a leader in insurance and reinsurance markets, working through Lloyd’s of London and international markets to provide businesses with protection for the risks confronted. An apprenticeship with Chaucer is respected throughout our industry. Work hard and it could set you up for life.
Chaucer is a thriving and dynamic firm, protecting businesses around the world from a wide range of risks. That could be hurricane damage to property in Florida, the theft of a bullion truck in Libya or the disruption and loss of revenue following the closure of an airport in the US after a cyber-attack.
As an enthusiastic team member you will be made to feel very welcome and will be encouraged to take real responsibility as you learn.
We build the Apprenticeship Programme around you. This will include exposure to different parts of the business to ensure that you get a deep understanding of how we work and meet more of our team. We expect you to study for an insurance or your programme related professional qualification, which we will fully support financially and with study time. If you show us you are a high flyer, you will take part in our Advance Programme with greater opportunities for skills building, networking and mentoring with wider industry experts.
We are proud to have been voted the ‘Top Company for Apprentices to work for' in the Accountancy and Insurance category, in 2017 by The Job Crowd.
If you are successful, you will work in the heart of the City of London in a modern, dynamic, fast-moving environment. It is not all work though – you will find lots of people to socialise with and there are plenty of opportunities for sports activities too.
Claims Apprenticeship Programme 2021 (one vacancy)
Over 18 months, we provide you with the opportunity to gain practical experience and knowledge in our Claims team, which is there to make sure that policyholders get claims paid promptly and fairly.
We aim to develop your skills in every area of the claims management process, from initial notification of a potential claim from an insurance policyholder, through investigation of the size of the loss, to final payment of the claim. We will also provide you with opportunities to work with teams outside of Claims to help you to understand how the rest of our business works.
